Guru Purnima aims to celebrate and praise the teachers in our life for sharing their knowledge. On this day, people also perform ritualistic puja in honour of their Gurus. Students pay respect to their teachers by offering flowers and gifts.
Also, sometimes, a function is organised in some of the colleges and schools, where speeches are held where students express their gratitude for their Gurus.
So, celebrate this Guru Purnima 2020 by giving respect to all the Gurus of your life, gift them something special, or thank them for the guidance they showered on you throughout your life.
शिक्षक हैं शिक्षा का सागर,
शिक्षक बांटे ज्ञान बराबर ,
शिक्षक मंदिर जैसी पूजा,
माता-पिता का नाम है दूजा,
प्यासे को जैसे मिलता पानी,
शिक्षक है वही जिंदगानी,
शिक्षक न देखे जात-पात,
शिक्षक न करता पक्ष-पात,
निर्धन हो या हो धनवान,
शिक्षक को सब एक समान !
